Hi, my name is Sarah.
I am a Scientist, Artist, and Writer.
I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology.
Graduated from Rutgers University, Camden in May 2021.
Over the summer, I was a TA for Dr. Nathan Fried’s Summer 2021 Undergraduate Neuroscience of Chronic Pain Research Lab where I facilitated a Journal Club and mentored the trainees of the lab.
My interest in research centers around the biospsychosocial aspects of chronic pain and I am currently looking for lab technician positions in the Philadelphia/ South Jersey region. I plan on applying for Neuroscience PhD programs in the United States for the Fall of 2022 to further specialize in the bidirectional relationship between chronic pain and mental illness.
I use art and science as means to understand the world around me. Having chronic pain myself, I am passionate about using my resources as a scientist, writer, and artist as an outlet to advocate for science communication, patient education, break down barriers and stigma surrounding having chronic pain and mental illness in academia.
